Western Rock Lobster (WRL) is pleased to announce that the new WRL Rules of Association was unanimously adopted by Members who attended in person or by proxy at the Special General Meeting (SGM) on 19 July 2018 in Geraldton.
Following the outcome of the SGM, on Friday 20 July WRL submitted the new Rules to the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS), Consumer Protection Division (Consumer Protection).
On 23 July 2018, DMIRS informed WRL that they had approved and registered the new Rules of Association with effect from that date.
Key changes to the Rules of Association include the election by ballots and for Members to cast their ballot by electronic or other forms specified by the WRL Board. In addition, the new rules meet the requirements of the new Associations Act.
